Based in Switzerland and with an international projection, Margy’s Monte Carlo (Margys.com SA and its subsidiaries) is specialized in the manufacture and distribution of first-class cosmetics and beauty products. We attach great importance to the security and privacy of your personal data. We treat your personal data in accordance with the data protection laws in force in your country, in particular respecting the principles of legality, fairness and transparency, purpose limitation, data minimization, accuracy, limited storage, completeness, availability and confidentiality, in accordance with the Swiss Federal Data Protection Act (DPA) and the General European Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

This Privacy Policy applies to the personal data we collect in connection with our products and services when you visit our websites, points of sale, spas in the European Economic Area or in Switzerland (collectively the "Points of Sale"), when you communicate with us through digital platforms, when you contact our Customer Service or during our events.

Margys.com SA (16 Route des Grands Bois, 1663 Epagny, Switzerland) processes the data collected from its customers. The subsidiaries of Margys.com SA in Europe and Switzerland may also act as data controllers depending on where the personal data are collected.

2.What personal data do we collect?

We may collect personal data directly from you (e.g. when you purchase a product in a shop) or indirectly (e.g. from your electronic devices that interact with our website).

6.Where is your data stored and is it transferred?

Your personal data are stored in databases linked to our websites or to our management tools, hosted by our service providers, on servers. These servers are secure and are under the confidentiality charters of our service providers and respect the laws and regulations on the protection of personal data.

Margys.com SA operates worldwide. In this context, we may transfer your personal data abroad, even to countries that do not offer a level of protection equivalent to that of your country of residence. Prior to such transfers, we will apply appropriate measures to protect your personal data. We may also transfer personal data with your explicit consent and in certain cases where permitted by applicable law.

7. Who has access to your personal data?

  • The authorized personnel of Margys.com SA who process the orders placed on our websites, the members of the technical teams who ensure the maintenance and proper functioning of the website, the customer relations personnel who process the contact requests sent from our contact forms.
  • The staff of our store and spa, to serve you in the best possible way.
  • Possible service providers that may be involved in our websites, or a request from Margys.com SA.
  • Our authorized subcontractors, solely in compliance with the purpose and aims communicates at the time of collection or explained in this Privacy Policy.

We ensure that our staff and our service providers can act in accordance with applicable laws on the protection of personal data and that they pay particular attention to the confidentiality and security of such data.

All persons and employees who may have access to your personal data have ratified a confidentiality charter.

8. How long do we keep your data?

9. What are your rights ?

To the extent permitted by law in your country, you may

  • access, modify, update and correct the personal data we hold about you through your Customer Account Board or by contacting us through the contact information below.
  • ask us to remove or restrict your personal information through our online contact form or by contacting us via the contact information below; or
  • exercise your right to data retention by the same means. Where permitted by law, you may at any time withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data for legitimate reasons related to your particular circumstances, and we will apply your preferences where appropriate. To request the exercise of these rights, please contact us at the address given in the last section of this document.
  • With respect to the Newsletter, you may choose not to receive it any longer by withdrawing your consent on the Dashboard of your customer account. If you do not have one, a link to unsubscribe is available on the Newsletter. If you continue to receive the newsletter despite your wish not to receive it anymore, please contact us.

To protect your privacy and maintain security, we may take steps to verify your identity before granting you access to the information. Depending on your geographical location, you may be able to file a complaint with the relevant national data protection authority (e.g. CNIL in the case of France and the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Transparency in the case of Switzerland) if you are not satisfied with our response.

10.How do we protect your data?

11. "The Club" Loyalty Program

When you sign up for our loyalty program "The Club", we collect and process certain personal data necessary to manage your membership. This includes your identification details (name, email address), your purchase history on our website, and your accumulated loyalty points.

This data is used exclusively for the operation of the loyalty program, specifically to:

  • calculate points earned (1 CHF spent = 1 point),
  • determine your eligibility level for rewards,
  • send you the corresponding gifts, once per year, based on your total annual purchases.

The reference period is 12 rolling months from the date of your first order after joining the program. After this period, a new annual cycle begins.

12.Changes to our privacy policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated without prior notice in order to adapt our practices to the legal requirements of data protection or in case of changes in our business activity. We will indicate at the top of this Privacy Policy the date it was last updated.
